History

 1977: Greg Peacocke returns from LA with two Cerwin Vega speakers for his lounge and realises he can hire them out to help pay the rent.

Sets up premises in Federal St, Auckland, later that year.
  1978: Greg meets Paul Jeffrey, an engineer with his heart in rock ’n’ roll, and together they establish Oceania.
 1979:
How about buying that? Oceania lands its first sales agency, with Cerwin Vega speakers.
 1981: Oceania hits the big time with a leading role at Sweetwaters.
 1987:
Oceania moves to its first unit in Taylors Rd, Morningside. 
 1996: Would you like lights with that? Oceania establishes its Lighting division.
 1999:
Oceania crosses the ditch to take on the big boys and opens a branch in Melbourne, Australia.
 2001: Oceania buys the incredible EV X-Line PA system
 2003:
What about a stage with that? Oceania buys SAM, NZ’s premium mobile stage system.
 2003:
Oceania takes a bold step south, opening a Wellington Branch.
 2006:
Oceania buys the Meyer Milo PA System, again demonstrating it is NZ’s leader in professional audio.
 2008:

Oceania heads west, moving to our new, bigger, better premises in Rosebank Rd.

Oceania bought by Norwest Productions/Anacacia Capital, forming Australasia's biggest sound company.
